Cygnus craft have a great reputation in both leisure and commercial ownership. Hand-built in Cornwall, the high quality of build to an innovative but proven design has produced a superb open sea vessel. The vessel on sale here is the Cyclone 30 Patrol Mk III. This model is regarded as a premium craft for a wide range of uses such as offshore sea angling which is the purpose for which the current owner had it commissioned in 1999.Less than 600 hrs recorded on engine and still in the original owner's hands. The hull was purpose-made in British Racing Green (Scott Bader pigment ref. 2162 to the first owner's requirements) and is carefully maintained. The vessel is currently certificated by the Irish Marine authority for up to 20nm from Safe Haven – renewal date Sept 2016.

Spacious cockpit has ample working space incorporating a light grey non-slip flush deck, transom scuppers and compliant height gun-whale. A transom door is fitted giving access to a GRP bathing platform with teak inlay. Lockers are provided for storage in the bulwark structure to accommodate fishing rods, etc. Access to engine, to fuel tanks and auxiliary equipment is via watertight flush hatches.
GRP storage boxes are located either side of the accommodation entry. One is used as gas bottle locker. They are draining overboard. The entry door to the accommodation area is offset to starboard. The wheelhouse is fitted out with aluminium framed toughened glass windows. There are three side windows - the forward of which each have half-opening sections. The front windows are fitted with electric wipers. To the port side is a dinette – twin facing seat benches with a table in the middle. This can be converted to a double berth by lowering the table. To starboard is a bench seat aft of the helm position. The sole can be lifted for further engine access. The helm seat is raised on a sprung suspension with armrests.
The navigation equipment, engine instruments and a single lever throttle and gear control are conveniently located at the helmsman position. Another raised seat for two people is fitted to port as a navigator's seat. There is ample storage space in the wheelhouse lockers and under the seats. Over the centre-line is a short companionway leading to the heads compartment to port and a galley to starboard via three steps. The heads is fitted with a manual operated marine toilet, hand-wash basin & shower. There are storage lockers in the toilet compartment. The galley has a 2 pits gas burner and oven, a double sink unit with pressurised hot & cold water. All the equipment is mounted in a purpose-made unit offering stowage for utensils and stores.
Up forward is a generous double berth set to starboard with stowage underneath. There is a hanging locker and smaller lockers in the fore cabin to port side. A deck-head hatch provides light; ventilation and an emergency escape to the foredeck. The fit-out includes carpet linings, varnished cherry-wood finish. The head-linings are vinyl with cherry-wood fixing strips. They are demountable for access to wiring. The drainage from the marine toilet, the sinks and shower is prepared for connection to a holding tank (not fitted). At the present time all waste is directed over-board with valve control. A diesel fuelled, warm air space heater is fitted with outlets in the wheelhouse and fore-cabin.

Two battery banks are fitted, each of 2 x 12 Volt are charged by engine alternator with dedicated engine start circuit. Shore-supply (220/240vAC) connection and wiring to charger. Fused and switched auxiliary circuits to navigation lights (to code), two deck lights, hold and engine-room lights, fore-cabin and wheelhouse lighting. Deck & General
The vessel is fitted with stainless steel pulpit rails to compliance, which runs to a point just aft of the wheelhouse structure, on both sides. Handrails are also fitted to the top of the wheelhouse and to the combings of the cockpit.
A matching radar arch is located above the wheelhouse structure.
A D-section rubber fender strip is fitted all round at the gun-whale for protection.
A number of stainless fairleads and bollards are fitted for mooring and a Vetus self-stowing bow roller is located forward, with 'protection plate' on the stem. The Bruce type anchor has 30ft of chain plus warp.
A Sprint 3000GD electric anchor winch, with local and helm control, is fitted forward in Cockpit to the starboard side.
A Jabsco electro-clutch desk-wash pump is located within the cockpit locker.
